Sell tickets on Ticketlounge

Set up your event, sell tickets online and scan them at the door with a phone. We keep 5% of each ticket sold. There are no setup or monthly fees.

The service fee is added at checkout and shown before the buyer pays. Free tickets have no service fee or commission. We pay organisers by EFT to a South African bank account after the event.

What you get

Ticket types
General, VIP, Golden Circle, Early Bird or your own. Each type has its own price, quantity and sales dates, and free events work too.
QR tickets
Every ticket has its own QR code. Buyers get it by email, as a PDF and on their phone, and by SMS if they want it.
Door scanning
Your door staff scan tickets in the browser on any smartphone. A ticket can only be scanned once.
Card payments
Buyers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Yoco. Card numbers never touch our servers.
Guest checkout
Buyers don't need an account, so paying on a phone takes a minute.
Your sales
Follow ticket sales and your balance in the organiser portal.

How it works

  1. Create an account

    Sign up with your name, email address and mobile number. It's free.

  2. Add your event

    Enter the date and venue, upload your poster and set up your ticket types.

  3. We check it

    We review new events before they go live. Once your account is verified, your events publish straight away.

  4. Sell and scan

    Share your event page. On the day, scan tickets at the door with a phone.

  5. Get paid

    After the event we pay your ticket sales, less the 5% commission and any refunds, into your bank account by EFT.

Does it cost anything to list an event?

No. There are no setup or monthly fees. We keep 5% of each ticket you sell, and nothing if you don't sell any.

When do I get paid?

After your event. We pay your ticket sales, less commission and any refunds, into your South African bank account by EFT. Your balance is shown in the organiser portal.

Do I need scanning equipment?

No. Door staff open the scanner in the browser on any smartphone and scan the QR codes. Each ticket can only be scanned once.

Will my event go live straight away?

We check new events before they are published, to protect buyers from fraud. Once your account is verified, your events go live as soon as you publish them.
